The Medium and the Message...

Think for a minute. When was the last time you watched an incoming fax chugging through your machine and said to yourself, “How imaginative; I’ll keep this forever” or saved a birthday wish left on your answering machine because it was so distinctive?

But, there’s much to be said about modern communication. It’s fast and efficient and most of us would prefer not to do without it. As we’re bombarded with messages popping up on our computer screens and piling up in our old fashioned mailboxes, think about how much more cheery these messages would be with a simple colorful, digital element placed on it wishing someone happy holidays or just thinking of you.

Growing numbers of us are deciding that the medium is often just as important as the message and our medium just happens to be digital scrapping!

The only thing more soothing to our technology-trampled souls than receiving an original, handmade card is creating one ourselves.

Making your own cards is the most marvelous experience for playing with the possibilities of color, texture, image, shape and imagination! If kindergarten was the last time you played with colorful paints, papers and glitter and trusted your artistic instincts, you’ve waited long enough. The only real rule about making handmade cards is that you share a bit of yourself in the process.

Take a quick trip through our Card Design Gallery and your first thought is likely to be “How imaginative...if I got something like that, I’d keep it forever.” Then in a flash, a second thought takes over... “I could do that."

WHICH IS EXACTLY THE IDEA!
