What albums do you use for storing your printed layouts?

Jennifer T. asks:

I am in need of help in finding an album to put all my digitally created scrapbook pages using your CDs! I decided to use the 8.5 x 11 format for ease of printing (and lower cost, too), and now I'm not sure where to find nice albums to put them all in!!

Michelle answers:

Any major craft or scrapbook retailer will have 8.5x11 albums, but they are becoming less common, as 8x8 and 8.5x8.5 become more popular. FYI: you can print all of our 12x12 papers/templates at any square size to fit on your standard printer, so these smaller size formats are great options for you, as well!

Some of my favorite brands of albums suitable for digital pages are Mrs. Grossman's (durable covers) and K&Co (artistic designs). K&Co has gorgeous collage covered albums in 11x8.5 landscape format in their trendy 'studio k' line. I recently purchased one at Scrapbooks Plus in St. Cloud to use with our 11x8.5 landscape Rich Reflectives ScrapOver Album Pak download.

For digital pages, look for albums that have plastic page protectors you can slide your printed pages in from the top. For higher end art presentations, Innova has come out with their Opus Presentation Album. Opus is a full album kit, which consists of all you need to print and bind your own elegant album on your home printer. In testing, I found it to be a quality product and great concept.

See our article on printing for other options.

Happy Learning!

T
he layouts and papers pictured above were printed using an Epson Stylus Photo 1280 wide format printer and EPSON Matte Scrapbook Paper.  The 8.5" x 11" layout template is "Give Thanks" from our Simply Elegant CD (right page is a modified version of left).  The 12" x 12" layout template is a modified version of "Comfortable" from our Simply Sampler CD.  The papers are our Groovy line from our Simply Sampler CD. Album sources: unknown.
