Christmas Clipboard (above) by Doris Castle was created using the Christmas Joy Page Pak. Instructions shown at right.
Making Christmas Fun and Organized at the Same Time

During the holidays we have so many things to keep track of that the joy sometimes takes a back seat to the hustle and bustle. If you're like me, there are post-it notes and scraps of papers with lists strewn about. This clipboard is a great way to organize those shopping lists, card lists, gift receipts and any other odds and ends. Enjoy using our digital graphics for your paper crafting projects!

Supplies Needed:
CottageArts Christmas Joy Page Pak download
Color Ink Jet Printer (8.5 x 11 is sufficient)
Distressing Ink
Craft Scissors
Ribbons/Fibers
Red Liner Tape or strong adhesive
Corner Rounder
Sponge Brush
Letter Stamps
Optional: Mod-Podge
Optional: Sewing Machine or Hand-held sewing machine
Optional: Shipping Tags
Optional: Craft Paint

1. Preparing the Papers - Print papers that you would like to use. In this example the papers used from the Christmas Joy Page Pak were: Sing Song, Red Stars and I used the ribbon with a solid red filled strip of paper. Cut the papers to size and using a corner rounder, trim the corners that will be on the outer edges of the clipboard. Cut out a rectangle to fit around the clip attachment of the board. Ink the edges. With your craft paint, paint along the edges of your clipboard if you would like them to have a color instead of the typical brown.

2. Adhering the Papers - Now that your papers are prepared, you are ready to adhere them to the board. I used mod-podge because it makes the finished project a bit more durable and resistant to smudging when handled. You can also adhere your papers with a regular adhesive. To use the mod-podge, spread it with a sponge brush onto your clipboard fully and place your papers on top of it. Once your papers are put in proper place, spread more mod-podge over the top. Let dry.

3. Make Pocket - Using the Red Stars paper, measure it so that it fits onto your clipboard and then trim the corners with a corner rounder. Ink the edges. Mod-podge over this paper and let dry. Once dry you can sew the edges if you would like some extra detailing. Adhere your pocket securely using Red Liner tape or a very strong adhesive.

4. Embellish and Enjoy - Use the embellishments printed from the kit, add ribbons, and embellish to your liking. Enjoy and have fun using your new Christmas Clipboard!
