Put the pizzazz in your paper projects by utilizing your
digital papers and elements traditionally. Once I
discovered digital CDs, my
patterned paper bill at the
local scrapbook store certainly
dropped (not to say I don’t spend
my share of money on ink, photo
paper, and other goodies every time I visit!). But, by far, the
most advantageous aspect to owning digital CDs and page paks is to be able to print the papers and elements over
and over again for all different uses,
in different colors, and
different sizes. You can create
spectacular greeting cards, without owning a single
rubber stamp, or add stamping to the papers and elements
for even more fun!
Patterned
papers purchased at a scrapbook
store are fabulous, but just think what you can
do with papers that can be printed at any size you wish!
This means the pattern on the paper becomes smaller for
mini projects, rather than trying to work and cut
around patterns on large 12x12 papers. Another wonderful
aspect to digital papers is that you can create your own
pattern on any type of paper; vellum, mulberry,
metallic, etc… by simply printing your digital paper
onto your choice of specialty paper.
The page paks include papers and elements that
coordinate perfectly for creating greeting cards,
too! To create the autumn
greeting card at left: print the papers
at 5x7 and the printable element
sheets in the
Golden Autumn
8.5x11 Printables Page Pak ,
then cut out. You can
fill in the tab with whatever you wish; I chose a rubber
stamp with the word Autumn (Stampin’ Up!). To create
depth, I sponged the edges of each piece with a brown
ink before gluing everything together. It’s that simple!
For the fun recipe card, I did
the same, but typed the recipe
before printing. Note that all
of our graphics in our Page Paks
and CDs can be printed and cut,
as well. We thought it would be
fun to offer our paper scrappers
a pak that had the elements all
arranged on 8.5x11 sheets for
easier printing!
These are only a few reasons to love digital for
traditional stuff; there are many more that you will
discover as you explore and play.
