Scrapbooking in Just Minutes!
This is a beginning of a series by Beth Ervin to show us how we can create simply gorgeous pages in minutes! This month we will learn how to create a layout in 10 minutes! Next month we'll jump up to 20 minutes and in the final month we will learn how to make a fabulous page in 30 minutes!

Let's face it, most of us have more photos than time!  Even after years of scrapbooking, I hope I can finish my son's graduation book before graduation. If the title of this article caught your attention, you are probably what I consider a "time-challenged" scrapper. You love to scrap but simply can't devote as much time to this hobby as you would like. This simple, yet striking 10 minute sketch is perfect for "scrap-lifting" onto your own pages in three short steps. For those of you who want to do a little more embellishing (yet still in a short amount of time), I will be creating 20 and 30 minute sketches for you in the next issues, so stay tuned. Using these time saving ideas, you'll enjoy seeing your photos go from storage in boxes to stories in albums within your "limited" spare time. Note: I combine traditional paper piecing and digital techniques in my layouts.  Feel free to use all digital or all traditional!

Step One
Choose two 12x12 pieces of coordinating paper from one of our CDs and print. Cut two 1x11 inch strips from one of the pieces and attach horizontally to the other piece.  Tie a ribbon between them vertically before adhering.

Step Two
Choose four 4x6 photos, cut two of them into 4x4 inch squares.  Adhere the four photos creating a large block in the center of the page.

Step Three
Choose a tag from one of our CDs or create a simple tag using the excess 12x12 paper.
Hand write or computer generate a short title on the tag.  Attach the tag with a long ribbon
to right hand corner.  Add brads to corners of layout (digitally in an image editor or traditionally).
