Scrapping
Life's Mishaps
Yes, scrapping the happy events in our lives is important, but
just as meaningful, are those times when things don't go so perfectly.
Kids unfortunately get sick or injured and scrapping about it shows
your love for them through hard times, too. For your own album, try
scrapping some of your emotions about these events, as well as how
injury or illness affected you as a child. Some of my most
memorable stories were when I got injured playing sports with my
brothers and dad. Like running into the tailgate of the truck going
long for a football pass, causing a trip to the doctor for stitches.
I still have the scars and we still share a laugh about it. We
certainly didn't take a picture of the event, but looking back, it
would have been nice to have some tangible piece of evidence!
Even without a photo, I can still scrap about this memory and use a
photo from the same time period. This issue's featured FIRST
AID PAGE PAK is perfect for this new goal of mine!
Some illnesses and injuries are much
more serious, and not humorous at all. Scrapping about these can
be emotionally healing, and may help you deal with the unfortunate
hardships. Take it slow, though, and don't force it.

Beth Ervin created the
grungy hockey layout using hockey papers, neutral color block paper,
ribbons, hockey title, and two different alphasets from our new Simply
Recreation CD. She also created the gorgeous card below with all the
elements and papers coming from the same CD.
