Create your own Valentine Gifts
Anyone can buy a box of
chocolates or a bunch of flowers, and as nice as the classic
valentine gifts they are, they’re hardly what you’d call
imaginative. If you want to make your gift truly unique, it’s
time to start getting personal and create your own presents.
Photos are always a
special gift idea. Create a valentine card by picking out your
favorite photo of the two of you together, choose a fabulous
digital frame and you have a thoughtful, personal gift that your
loved one will remember forever. If you have the time, you can
even put together an entire album’s worth and personalize it
with anything you like, whether it be short messages to your
loved one or lyrics of “your” song. Better yet, why not write a
poem to your loved one and include it in your personalized
valentine card. It is guaranteed to be cherished as long as you
don’t begin with “roses are red…!"
Or how about a memory box?
Creation is easy…buy a plain paper box of any size or kind,
personalize it with embellishments and papers you like and then
fill it to the brim with mementoes that bring back memories.
Perhaps the movie tickets from the first movie you ever saw
together, cocktail favors from a memorable holiday or a
recording of your favorite song. Printed digital embellishments
and papers work wonderfully as you can print as many as you need
to cover the box. Then simply adhere the papers with glue or
lacquer. Be as inventive as you like, and then watch the smile
on your partner’s face as they unpack their box of love.
But most important of all
on Valentines Day is to remember someone in need who would
benefit from an expression of love from you. Just think...there
may be someone in your life that won’t be hugged or told they
are loved unless you take the initiative. Imagine their joy!
