How to Use the Gallery to its Fullest

Go to Gallery Here

The design team members at CottageArts.net have created many unique layouts that can give inspiration on how to use our CDs and downloadable Page Paks, Simply ScrapOver Templates, and AlphaSets. The Gallery is divided into the following categories: by Team Member, by CDs and Downloads, Assorted Challenges to the Design Team, Design Team Bios, Photography, and the winners of CottageArts.net's "There's  Hope in the Memories" Contest.

Not only can you browse the gallery by using the Categories, but you can do a specific search by typing in the keyword and clicking the search button. This is extremely useful if you would like to begin a certain type of layout or project.

For example, if you would like to create a Holiday card and would like some inspiration from the gallery, by typing card you will receive 40 different card ideas! The design team is continually adding new layouts and projects to the gallery, so check back often for the most recent creations. If you would like to remember a particular layout in the future, you can click on the Add to Favorites words under the layout photo and it will be saved for you! When you would like to see this layout again, you can easily find it by clicking the My Favorites words (top left of gallery).

Keyword Search: Card

If you do a search for Card, you will discover a multitude of ideas including holiday cards by Beth Ervin and other design team members. You will also find cards for other occasions, such as Father's Day,  Baby Announcements, and Wedding. Some inspiring examples are below.

To see the newest posts in the gallery, simply click on the heading "last day" or "last 7 days" and you'll see the latest and greatest.

Card for other Occasions
RSVP.jpg Here's a very simple idea for a custom wedding invitation and RSVP.

Used the 12x12 Lavender Tulips paper from Simply Elegant and cropped to size. Then added a soft photo edge to the paper and photo using Paint Shop Pro's Layer Masks (see Chapter 13 of my book for step-by-step how to's). Also, see Chapter 5 for creating a layout from scratch for help creating a basic layout, using the text tool, adding photos, etc.  I decreased the opacity of the paper to about 50% and the photo to about 40% (converted to B/W first).
Finally, I chose a custom Print Layout to create a four-up postcard size spread for these RSVP cards.  Font: AdineKirnberg
